Wendy Crumpler has been helping people all her life. As assistant to an executive creative director in one of New York’s largest advertising agencies in the 1980s she learned first-hand the power of words to change people’s perceptions. By 1986 she was working on the Macintosh beginning to create advertising and collateral material on the computer. She became a highly-paid production artist and trainer, working with both small, boutique agencies and mega-advertising conglomerates. In 1994, she met and married photographer Barry Haynes, and together they produced one amazing son and 8 pretty fabulous books on Photoshop, the Photoshop Artistry series.
In 1999, Wendy wrote, designed and produced, Photoshop, Painter and Illustrator: Side by Side. The book was one of the first to make use of the web as a tool for rapidly changing information. The second version of the book was a finalist for the 2001 Ben Franklin computer book award.
Wendy has trained hundreds of people in computer applications such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Quark and Word for over 20 years. Her sense of humor and patience make learning new skills fun. Contact her to begin a conversation about your publishing needs.
